The Manipur unit of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) strongly condemned the widespread incidents of threatening and intimidation reported in numerous polling stations, both in the inner and outer regions.
The unit lodged a formal complaint with the Election Commission of India, urging for repolling in 47 affected polling stations, comprising 36 in the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency and 11 in the Outer Manipur region.
Speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Bhawan, Keisham a Meghachandra, representing the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, provided details regarding the complaint filed by the INDIA bloc. He outlined the observations made during today’s election proceedings, emphasizing the need for redressal of the concerning electoral scenario.
