At least four cadres from the KNA-B (Kuki National Army – B) and the People’s Defence Force (PDF) were reportedly killed in a heavy gunbattle with armed groups near the Indo-Myanmar border in Kamjong district. The encounter occurred around 5:30 am close to Border Pillar No. 90, between the villages of Namli and Minda, and persisted for an extended period. The identities of the deceased have not been officially confirmed, and details regarding casualties or injuries on the opposing side are also unclear. The clash seems to involve armed groups from Manipur engaging with what are described as “proxy forces” associated with KNA-B and the PDF. Moreover, there are unverified reports of some weapons being seized during the conflict, but independent confirmation is still awaited.
