New Delhi, March 24: Gold prices rose by Rs 108 to Rs 87,886 per 10 gram in futures trade on Monday as speculators created fresh deals amid strong spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of gold contracts for April delivery rose by Rs 108, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 87,886 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 10,809 lots.
Analysts said fresh deals by participants led to the rise in gold prices.
Globally, gold futures in New York fell marginally to $3,022.78 an ounce.
