Security forces arrested an active woman cadre of KCP (Apunba), identified as Sanasam Rozy Devi @ Zy (26) of Phumlou Mamang Leikai, Imphal West district yesterday from Taothong Khunou near Khutheibam Lampak under Lamshang-PS, Imphal West district. On the same day, security forces also arrested an active cadre of KCP (Noyon), one Phijam Rainson Singh alias Luwangcha, Amutombi, Tayai (29) of Pungdongbam Mayai Leikai, Imphal East district from Sawombung area under Lamlai-PS, Imphal East district. Security forces also arrested two cadres of KYKL from Jagnoi area, near IMB pillar No. 80, Moreh under Moreh-PS, Tengnoupal district.
The arrested cadres have been identified as Hawaijam Nganthoiba (19) of Rajaram, Lakhipur-PS, Cachar district, Assam and Moirangthem Jenith Singh (24) of DSA Road, Ningthou Pareng Maning, Kakching-PS, Kakching district. Meanwhile, security forces continued to conduct search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas across districts. A total of 103 Nakas/Checkpoints were installed in different districts both in the hills and the valley, however none was detained. Movement of 306 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-37 was ensured. Strict security measures were taken up in all vulnerable locations and security convoy is provided in sensitive stretches in order to ensure free and safe movement of the vehicles.
