Get ready for a cinematic extravaganza as Manipur gears up to host the much-anticipated North East India Film Festival 2024, commencing on March 3. Organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and in collaboration with the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Manipur, the festival promises five days of captivating cinematic experiences.
A total of 13 films were submitted for competition at the festival, reflecting the rich diversity of cinema from the region. Following a rigorous selection process, eight outstanding films have been shortlisted to vie for top honors. Among the selected entries, six hail from Assam, while one each represents Meghalaya and Manipur, showcasing the vibrant storytelling traditions of North East India.
In addition to the film screenings, attendees can look forward to enriching their cinematic knowledge through a master class session, offering insights from industry experts.
