At the 2024 Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival, The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) program by Reckitt demonstrated its commitment to responsible corporate governance by fostering essential conversations on life skills such as Inclusion, Consent, Protection, Awareness, and Equity. The Health Pavilion, the festival’s largest, saw over 30,000 visitors daily, engaging in activities like a graffiti competition that highlighted these core values.

Shembhalang Thawbroi from East Khasi Hills won the top prize for his impactful art on Protection, while other regional talents from Assam, Meghalaya, and West Bengal also received recognition. This initiative not only serves as an example of Reckitt’s dedication to youth empowerment but also sets a precedent for corporate responsibility within the market. In Imphal, the success of TBBT is paving the way for similar socially responsible campaigns targeting the youth demographic.

As local businesses in Imphal continue to grow, there is an increasing demand for products and services that emphasize health education and community engagement. This trend reflects a broader shift in the region towards supporting programs that align with corporate social responsibility and youth development. Gaurav Jain, EVP, Reckitt – South Asia, stated, “Through initiatives like TBBT, we are fostering a culture of responsibility and inclusivity that resonates with today’s socially conscious youth.”
