A newly constructed water supply scheme at Uchiwa Awang Leikai was handed over to the Village Water & Sanitation Committee (VWSC) by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Imphal West. Officials emphasized the need for effective water management, conservation, and responsible drinking water use to ensure the scheme’s long-term sustainability. Mayang Imphal AC MLA Kongkham Robindro urged community unity and collective responsibility during challenging times and highlighted the importance of peace and harmony. He called for support for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in relief camps, encouraging compassion and solidarity. The event was attended by key PHED officials, who also provided guidance on proper water usage and maintenance practices for the scheme’s effective operation.
