The Thadou Students’ Association – General Headquarters (TSA-GHQ) has condemned the actions of Lamminlun Singsit, Lungoulen Guite, and Kamchon Kipgen, who have been accused of impersonating legitimate Thadou representatives and engaging in illegal intimidation against TSA Sadar Hills President, George L. Thadou. The TSA describes their coercive WhatsApp summons as a criminal act that constitutes harassment and a violation of constitutional rights, specifically mentioning Articles 14, 19, and 21. These individuals are portrayed as key players in the anti-national “Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU)”, promoting a “Kuki-Zo Union Territory” and exacerbating unrest in Manipur since the 2023 ethnic violence. The TSA claims they aim to undermine Thadou identity and independence, contributing to divisive violence and social chaos in the region. The association calls for the registration of an FIR against the trio, rigorous investigation of their separatist activities, and enhanced security for its leaders, asserting that the Thadou community will resist intimidation and protect its identity against these alleged separatists. The TSA emphasizes the importance of peace, education, and constitutional harmony in contrast to the divisive agenda of these imposters.
