In a bid to usher in a new era of political integrity and progress for Manipur, Congress candidate Angomcha Bimol Akoijam has unveiled his personal manifesto, outlining a comprehensive agenda of 13 key initiatives aimed at transforming the state. During the manifesto release event, Akoijam articulated a resolute stance against the disruptive forces targeting his campaign, emphasizing his commitment to reforming the political landscape and transcending the realm of divisive politics.
“I firmly believe that contesting this election is a step towards ushering in positive change and cleansing the system of its impurities. Those vested interests seeking to perpetuate chaos in the state are perturbed by my candidacy. Despite concerted efforts to silence my voice and disrupt my campaign, the will of the people shall prevail,” asserted Akoijam with conviction. The manifesto encompasses a diverse array of agendas, ranging from addressing ongoing violence and advocating for justice for internally displaced persons to championing constitutional protections, such as scheduled tribe status for the Meitei community.
