Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh inspected the ongoing rejuvenation work of the Imphal River, aimed at cleaning the water and reducing its Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD). He observed the eco-embankment project near the Lamlong bridge, designed to mitigate bank erosion and enhance water quality, which spans 100 meters as a pilot initiative. Accompanied by key officials including Principal Secretary Arun Kumar Sinha and Director Dr. T. Brajakumar Singh, he also visited Khurai Salanthong to assess development work on Pangei road, urging the implementing agency to accelerate completion to alleviate public hardship caused by poor road conditions. Additionally, he inspected the construction of an embankment wall along the Imphal River at Singjamei Oinam Thingel.
