Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh has announced the commencement of construction for the Moirang to Wangoo road via Kumbi within 15 days during a reception in Bishnupur district. He assured the public of the government’s commitment to state development, revealing that the Napat Bridge construction will begin the next day and be completed within five days. The Chief Minister instructed Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam to report on prefabricated housing progress for Internally Displaced Persons in the district. Following his address in Kumbi, he received a warm welcome from Thanga Assembly Constituency residents, promising to address their grievances and support their development. In posts on X and Facebook, he expressed gratitude for the receptions and meetings emphasizing grassroots connectivity and organizational unity. He highlighted the need for ecological balance by systematically cleansing phumdis in Loktak Lake, and reiterated his commitment to improving connectivity through bridge construction and road infrastructure development to facilitate progress towards a developed Manipur. Khemchand also welcomed new party members and emphasized the importance of cooperation with local MLAs for infrastructure and developmental priorities in both constituencies.
