In preparation for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, the District Administration of Senapati today organised a massive cleanliness drive at Mini Secretariat Complex, Senapati and several key public locations.
The initiative focused on enhancing the aesthetic appeal and hygiene of the town, covering prominent areas including the Astro Turf ground, Banking offices, Multi- Level Parking facility, and various public thoroughfares.
The drive saw an active participation from various Department Heads and its office staffs put an effort in cleaning their respective offices and its surrounding environment. The designated area of the cleanliness drive includes offices building, approach road, entrance gate, waiting shed, gardens and more.
Activities included in the drive includes sweeping, clearing of overgrown bushes weeds, collection of plastics litter and then disposing off the gathered waste to garbage collection trucks.
It may be mentioned that this cleanliness drive is part of the District Administration’s commitment to ensuring a clean and dignified environment for the national celebration, fostering a sense of civic responsibility among government employees and the general public.
