In a synchronized effort between central and state security forces, two bunkers allegedly occupied by armed militants were obliterated in Manipur’s Churachandpur District. The targeted villages of Phunchunjang and Maulsang bore witness to the impactful operations conducted on Sunday. Despite the significant actions, no arrests have been made thus far, leaving the region on edge. The operations were sparked by a devastating attack on an India Reserve Battalion camp, claiming the lives of two CRPF personnel and injuring two others at Naransena village.
Manipur’s security advisor, Kuldiep Singh, vowed relentless pursuit of the perpetrators, affirming, “We will leave no stone unturned to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.” Singh, a former CRPF chief, disclosed plans to ramp up operations, directing all security forces, including Assam Rifles and the army, to intensify their efforts.
As tension grips the region, with no outfit claiming responsibility for the attacks, Singh assured the public, “We are formulating strategies for day-to-day operations,” emphasizing the commitment to restoring peace and security in Manipur.
