The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour concluded its latest edition in Kolkata, unveiling a disruptive craft-forward fashion narrative positioned as a premium lifestyle and brand value driver. Set against the Howrah Bridge, the finale turned the Hooghly River into a floating runway, with designer Anamika Khanna’s AK|OK label presenting an experimental collection and actor Ishaan Khatter as showstopper. The showcase, hosted in collaboration with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), spotlighted craft as a dynamic and evolving economic force in India’s growing luxury and experiential fashion ecosystem.

The barge-stage presentation used lasers, scaffolding and light installations to amplify movement and energy, culminating in Khatter’s dramatic arrival by speedboat. The Bengal Paddle vessel hosted guests, featuring a Riverine Museum that served as a curated cultural backdrop, adding experiential value to the showcase. The emphasis on premium craftsmanship aligns with Pernod Ricard India’s strategy of positioning Blenders Pride as a lifestyle brand associated with culture, creativity and aspiration.

Debasree Dasgupta, CMO Pernod Ricard India, said the finale demonstrated how “Future is Crafted,” merging heritage and innovation. Designer Anamika Khanna called the reinterpretation of craft exhilarating, while FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi said the collaboration signalled the next pace for Indian fashion.
