The Kuki-Zo Council’s (KZC) decision, which articulates the democratic mandate and collective political will of the Kuki-Zo people, has the complete and steadfast support of the Kuki Inpi Ukhrul District.A valid and constitutional reaction to the current political, social, and security realities in Manipur is the reiteration of the demand for a Separate Administration in the form of a Union Territory under the Indian Constitution. According to a Kuki Inpi Ukhrul District news release, it illustrates how the current administrative framework has failed to provide the Kuki-Zo people with justice, safety, and equal governance. It wholeheartedly supported the consensus decision that, given the current situation, the Kuki-Zo people cannot and will not take part in the establishment of the Manipur government. Any involvement in politics without responsibility, the return of normalcy, and justice for the victims would be a betrayal of their people’s hopes and suffering as a whole.

According to the statement, the Kuki Inpi Ukhrul fully supports the Kuki-Zo Council and the Kuki-Zo people in their quest for justice, dignity, and a safe political future. In order to address the underlying causes of the crisis and preserve constitutional principles, it called on the Indian government to take this resolution seriously and to begin meaningful, timely involvement.Additionally, Kuki Inpi Jiribam, Tamenglong, and Noney completely endorsed Kuki Inpi Manipur’s stance, reiterating the Kuki-Zo Council’s resolution as the democratic mandate and collective desire of the Kuki-Zo people. It showed support for KIM by stating that no Kuki-Zo person or representative should take part in, support, or legitimize the establishment of the Government of Manipur given the current political and security conditions, as doing so would go against the Kuki-Zo people’s united stance. As a legal and essential political option to provide justice, security, and dignity for the Kuki-Zo people, Kuki Inpi JTN further supported the demand for a Separate Administration in the form of a Union Territory under the Indian Constitution. It declared that Kuki Inpi JTN is still committed to seeking a fair, long-lasting, and honorable political settlement alongside Kuki Inpi Manipur, the Kuki-Zo Council, and other constituent entities.

The Kuki Chief Association Tengnoupal District, the district’s highest authority, the Hill Tribal Council (HTC) Moreh, and the Molnoi Area Welfare Council (MAWC) all supported the Kuki-Zo Council’s (KZC) resolution regarding the establishment of a popular government in Manipur on behalf of the district’s general populace. The Kuki-Zo body declared that as the Kuki-Zo people have been calling for complete independence from the Metei community, the Kuki-Zo Council’s decision is in line with their wishes and aspirations. The KUKI-Zo people in general and the residents of Tengnoupal district in particular have suffered unimaginable hardships, and the current political, social, and security climate has made coexistence a far cry. Without a political settlement, the district’s residents cannot compromise and accept future coexistence and peace by forming a government together because we have been forced out of the valley areas, it said.It called on the central government to comprehend the feelings and predicament of the Kuki-Zo people and take action to satisfy our collective desire for an independent government within the Indian Union’s constitution.
