On the day prior, security forces successfully eradicated a total of 185 acres of unlawful poppy cultivation in the Khamashom Hill range and Leingangching Hill range, specifically located within the Ukhrul district. Additionally, two huts situated at these plantation sites were destroyed as part of the operation. In the Tengnoupal district, security forces further dismantled 20 acres of illegal poppy plantations in the Khudei Khullen hill range under the jurisdiction of Tengnoupal Police Station. Concurrently, security operations continued, focusing on area domination and search efforts throughout districts considered fringe or vulnerable. These operations resulted in the recovery of various arms and ammunition. Furthermore, the movement of 333 vehicles laden with essential supplies was facilitated along National Highway 37, with stringent security protocols enacted in all at-risk locations. A security convoy was also provided for sensitive sections of the route to guarantee the safe and unhindered transit of vehicles.
