On International Women’s Day, a new community centre with a separate toilet block was inaugurated in N Gangpijang Village, T Yangnom, Tengnoupal District. This initiative, part of Operation Sadbhavana by Assam Rifles for the Financial Year 2025–26, was officially handed over to local authorities during a ceremony attended by around 40 participants, including village leaders and Civil Society Organisation (CSO) representatives, emphasizing the significance of inclusive development. The community centre aims to serve as a central hub for social gatherings, community meetings, educational programmes, and developmental activities, thereby enhancing local engagement and interaction. The installation of a separate toilet block is expected to improve hygiene standards and contribute to overall health within the village. This facility aligns with efforts to support women’s welfare by providing improved sanitation and dedicated spaces for community development.
