Security forces conducted operations in the Imphal East and Kangpokpi districts, resulting in significant arms and ammunition recoveries. In the Champhai hill range area under Sagolmang police station, authorities seized a diverse array of weaponry including two .303 rifles, a .22 rifle, eight 12 bore single barrel guns, and numerous live rounds—25 INSAS rounds, ten .303 rounds, and one live round of a 12 bore firearm. Additional items recovered included two blank cartridges, four INSAS magazines, a locally made bomb, a WP-80 smoke grenade, and various stun and tear gas devices, alongside four Baofeng handsets and two chargers.

In a concurrent operation at Awlmun village area under Kangchup police station, security forces found further weaponry. This included an MA-11MK rifle with a magazine, a pistol with its magazine, six single barrel shotguns, and two improvised mortars. Additionally, they confiscated 50 INSAS live rounds, a single barrel live round, two PEK devices, two hand grenades complete with arming rings, two detonators, a handset, a bulletproof jacket cover, and two pairs of jungle boots. These recoveries highlight ongoing efforts to address arms trafficking and enhance security in the region.
