Security forces in Imphal East and West districts have made several arrests linked to active cadres of militant groups. Khundrakpam Anilkumar Singh, aged 21, known by the alias Manganglakpa, was apprehended in the Phaknung Awang Leikai area, with authorities seizing a mobile phone from him. Additionally, Ibungomacha Laishram, alias Rocky and Ibomcha, aged 43, was arrested in the Yairipok Lamkhai area of Thoubal; he is originally from Gaili village in Peren, Nagaland, and currently resides in Singjamei Yumnam Leikai, Imphal West district. A mobile phone and a SIM card were confiscated during his arrest. Furthermore, another individual, Khaidem Narendra Singh, also involved with PREPAK (Pro), was arrested at his home in Wangoi Khaidem Leikai, where security forces recovered a 9 mm pistol, a magazine, four rounds of ammunition, and a mobile phone along with a SIM card. Additionally, the Manipur Police recovered a stolen Honda Activa two-wheeler in the Mayang Imphal area, which had been reported missing since February 11 from the Patsoi PS jurisdiction. The ongoing efforts of security forces include continued search operations and area domination in vulnerable regions throughout the districts.
