A combined operation by security forces and the forest department successfully dismantled large illegal poppy plantations in the Ukhrul district of Manipur. A total of 180 acres of poppy plants were destroyed at the Leingangching hill range, along with 20 huts at the sites. Additionally, 38 acres of illegal plantations at the Thawai Kuki hill range were eradicated, including the destruction of ten huts.

In Churachandpur district, security forces intercepted a bus and arrested Thangminlian Zou, seizing approximately 57.7 kg of raw opium and a mobile phone from him. Following investigations, Melody Lambu was also arrested. Furthermore, police in Senapati district arrested truck driver Athikho Elokho, confiscating 5.60 kg of opium, a mobile phone, ₹ 5,200 in cash, an Aadhaar card, and a PAN card, along with a Tata Dumper vehicle.

Continuing efforts to enhance security, forces conducted search operations and established 103 checkpoints across various districts to monitor and maintain safety in vulnerable areas. The movement of 130 vehicles carrying essential goods along NH-37 was facilitated under strict security measures, ensuring the safe passage through sensitive stretches.
