The AICC National Spokesperson Talent Hunt Programme was introduced in Manipur by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) as part of a national effort that is being implemented in other states. The Congress Bhavan on B. T. Road hosted the official introduction of the program. Advocate Avani Bansal, the AICC National Coordinator-in-charge, spoke to the audience and stated that the initiative’s goal is to find young people who are capable of articulating public problems at the national level and who possess good communication skills and political understanding.

According to her, the initiative aims to give gifted young people from Manipur—especially those who can speak on public issues—a stage on which to represent the state in national forums. Advocate Bansal pointed out that in order to guarantee greater comprehension and attention, a number of urgent concerns impacting Manipur must be highlighted at the national level in a responsible, accurate, and straightforward manner. She went on to say that chosen individuals will be prepared for important positions, such as national spokespersons who would interact with national media outlets and other prestigious venues. Additionally, the curriculum will emphasize the development of skills in issue-based communication, fact-based public involvement, research to combat disinformation and false news, and outreach and publicity coordination.

The talent quest is available to interested parties who can apply by January 25 at the latest, according to the organizers. Applications can be submitted by completing the application form using the specified channels and scanning the assigned QR code. Only those who have reached the age of eighteen are eligible. The program, according to its organizers, is a reflection of the Congress party’s efforts to boost informed political communication at the national level and promote young involvement.
