The 2nd Senate Meeting of the Dhanamanjuri University, Manipur was held at the Durbar Hall, Lok Bhavan with Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University and Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla in the helm of affairs. With the permission of the Chancellor, Registrar Dhanamanjuri University, Dr. R.K. Joteen Singh initiated the proceedings.Vice-Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University Prof. W.Chandbadu Singh welcomed all the members of the Senate and the invitees and also presented the overall position and progress of the university. The Chancellor of the university in his address also welcomed the MPs, MLAS, and other members of the Senate. In his address, he highlighted the university’s emergence as a great centre of higher education while maintaining its own long drawn legacy of highly acclaimed colleges that imparted best education at the college levels. Despite many problems due to shortage of modern infrastructure in terms of classrooms, laboratories, research equipments, office space, library, sports infrastructure etc., the Chancellor expressed his satisfaction in the university’s progressive approach towards excellence in education and research. He appreciated the university’s efforts towards the steps taken up for implementation of NEP 2020 in its true sense and spirit, introduction of Multiple Entıry & Multiple Exit system, emphasis given on Vocational & Skill Developments in curTicula, integration of Indian Knowledge System, and holistic education perspectives.


When the discussions on the agenda-items started, the Proceedings of the 1 Senate Meeting held on February 26, 2021, was placed in the August gathering by the Registrar for confirmation and approval. Prof. L. Nandababu Singh, Dean, School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences placed the proceedings of the Syndicate meetings held between December 2021 to December 2025. Prof. S. Lanchenba Meetei, Dean, School of Humanities placed a gist of the DMU Annual Reports 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25 while Rojendrakar Nongthomba, Finance Officer DMU placed the Annual Accounts Reports for the last three years, and Prof. N. Jayanti, Dean, School of Business Studies placed the Revised Estimate 2023-24, 2024-25 and Budget Estimate 2025-26 for consideration and approval. After the completion of the discussion on the agenda-items of the meeting, Registrar, DMU proposed the vote of thanks, extended to the members of the Senate and with the permission of the Chancellor and Governor of Manipur the meeting ended with an open invitation from the Vice-Chancellor to all the members of the Senate to attend the 1st Dhanamanjuri University Convocation to be held on January 17.
