The 2025 Hyundai Venue is set to launch on November 4, and ahead of its debut, Hyundai has unveiled the SUV on its digital platforms, along with details about its variants, dimensions, and specifications. The new-generation Venue aims to strengthen its position in the Indian sub-compact SUV segment, competing directly with popular rivals like the Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
In terms of powertrains, the 2025 Venue largely carries over the same engine and transmission options as the current model. The notable addition is a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox available with the diesel engine. The Tata Nexon, in comparison, offers a diverse powertrain portfolio, including petrol, diesel, CNG, and EV options, making it unique in its segment. Transmission choices for Nexon include manual, AMT, and DCT automatic units.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza, on the other hand, comes with a single 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology in most trims and also offers a CNG variant. Its gearbox options include a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. With these updates, the 2025 Venue is positioned to challenge its rivals more aggressively in terms of features and drivability.
