Assam Rifles celebrated the 150th anniversary of India’s national song, Vande Mataram, through a series of musical tributes across Manipur, emphasizing patriotism and cultural pride. At Kangla Fort, the Assam Rifles Band captivated over 200 attendees, including NCC cadets, students, and tourists, with powerful renditions of patriotic songs such as Vande Mataram, Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja, and Sare Jahan Se Acha. The event’s rhythmic drumbeats and brass harmonies echoed against the historic gates, symbolizing national unity and fervor, as highlighted by a press release from IGAR(S).

In Thoubal District, the solemn setting of the Khongjom War Memorial hosted a ceremonial musical program, where Vande Mataram and other patriotic pieces resonated throughout the grounds, honoring the region’s legendary warriors and instilling a sense of pride among visitors and attendees.

The most significant turnout occurred at the Peace Ground in Tuibong, Churachandpur, where the Pipe Band and Jazz Band of Assam Rifles performed Vande Mataram.
